Finishing my Story of the All Nations conference and testimony of God's Power and Grace!

Just wanted to quick write and finish up getting up to date. - This picture is from the conference, me on left with some awesome people I met!

So after driving 12 hours to Missouri beginning at 4:30am Thursday morning, we made it to Springfield to Central Bible College and began the All Nations Conference, which is a conference put on my Chi Alpha Christian Ministries for Christian International Students and leaders of Chi Alpha's International Student Friendship Ministry (ISFM). The basic outline of the conference was prayer in the morning (7am!), morning worship singing and a speaker, small group bible study, then an elective workshop, some free time, and then evening worship singing and speaker. We got to hear Scott Martin who is the Director of National Chi Alpha ISFM speak, as well as regular teaching from Paul York a prof at Central Bible College, and Paul Ai, a missionary and Director of all Assemblies of God Churches in Vietnam. The conference lasted Thurs night, Friday, Saturday (which was an excursion day to Branson), Sunday, and then Monday was the last day, and we drove home Tuesday.

I feel like the main thing I really want to share about this time was that God proved Himself faithful to me in a number of ways. First of all, I really got to experience some awesome conversations and relationship building with Christian International students and that meant a lot to me and encouraged me about going back to Denton and reaching students. Also, He answered so many prayers in that He really brought me out of a desert season in my life (see past post) and into a new season of life. Like stepping to a new stone in a path. I realized tonight as I was journaling that I really feel the JOY of His Salvation again and the weight of His promises and power in my life. I can't stress enough how much I had forgotten and didn't even really know how powerful our Lord God is and that He can do anything! How amazing is that? And that He does fufill His promises and that you know what? He LOVES me! Wow, that is AWESOME! :)

I guess some really cool things that happened in my heart is a total opening to what God has for me in my life because I know He is far better at controlling it and making plans for it than I am. Plus, I feel like I finally am excited and ready to let Him use me and work through me to minister to others and I really feel like I have a better understanding of what that means. I also am realizing that as we walk towards God, He RUNS towards us! He wants to draw us near to Him and I feel so much more like I actually want to draw near to Him. Through daily quiet time, meaning time I set aside to be by myself, reading the bible, praying, and meditating on His Word and Him, I will know Him better. A relationship only can grow by spending time together and investing time into one another, and this holds true to my relationship with God.

Also, PRAISE GOD, I feel so blessed to say that God totally used me to bring another sheep to His flock. The last night of the conference I felt really impressed upon to speak with this international student I had met and just started to ask her questions about her relationship with God. Basically it came down to her realizing how much she really wanted to say yes and let Jesus into her life. We prayed together and she excepted Jesus as her personal Savior and Lord! HOW COOL is GOD! This must be documented as the beginning of so many beautiful experiences of faith in Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Love you all, ask me if you have questions about this way cool conference!
