Lord, I just thank you that you stir in my heart the want to be better and make changes in my life. When I feel like I'm drowning, God I pray that you would be there comforting me. God, I know I can't do it myself. I have no foundation at all without you. How unstable I become. I just have to trust you; that you will fulfill your unmoving covenant with our souls. I have to trust that you know what you are doing. That it is just a time, not forever. You are the only thing that is forever. Thank you for giving us this time to be here and learn crazy things, see beauty, and be filled up with anticipation. Anticipation for something so great it is so beyond us. Lord, please let me only worship you for the rest of my days. Though I may walk through the dark and fall, stumbling along, that I would never worship false idols. Whatever they may be. How can I worship you better? How can I serve you better? I know you want to take care of me too, so please let me be excepting of that. I love you.
Oh our Father, how you lift up your people to do your will.
How your glory is shown in the works of our hands.
And the words of our mouths.
How is it that we fall, time and time again, yet you lift us up on your back and carry us to the finish!
For we must run the race, oh Lord.
But it would be false to say we must do it on our own accord.
Like a child clings to it's mother and father, Father God, may we cling to you.
Like a servant looks to the instruction of his master, Master God, may we look to you.
And we must run the race, oh Lord, but it is not required to know how the track will feel beneath the pounding of our feet, or the direction it is taking us.
Oh our Father, when we lose our purpose that is found in you, be merciful oh God. Let us not stand still or run backwards, but take us to the end.
